Payment FAQs

Are my credit card details safe?

Yes! We use the highest standard of encryption when passing payment information between your computer and our website. In addition, credit card details which are used for payment on our website are handled according to international best-practice standards with key data removed and encrypted. We do not record or retain any of the PIN or CVV numbers which are used for authentication of your card.

How can I pay?

At the moment we only accept direct Bank Deposits into the House of Class bank account.

Payment via any Mastercard or Visa credit card and selected Cheque and Debit cards will be available soon.

Unfortunately we cannot accept American Express, Diners Club, or payment on delivery. Please note: Some Debit Cards will allow you to make purchases on our website, but you may find that an outstanding authorised amount appears on your account statement for some time after delivery of your purchases. We are working on a solution to this.

Can I pay using a Diners' Club Credit Card?

We unfortunately no longer accept Diners Club cards online.

The reason for this is that Diners’ Club cards do not operate with 3D Secure (the one-time PIN process that verifies many other cards like Visa and MasterCard). 3D Secure is best practice in e-commerce, and as we are constantly working to protect the safe online shopping of our customers, we have to insist on 3D Secured cards.

This is one of the reasons House of Class is among the safest online stores in the country — we take every measure possible to protect our customers from the risk of fraud.

Are my personal details secure?

Yes. When we ask you to share private details with us, such as personal or payment information, we ensure that information is encrypted and protected with the best encryption software in the industry – SSL (Secure Socket Layer). You will notice a lock icon at the bottom of your browser, such as Internet Explorer or Firefox, confirming that you are on an encrypted page when this is required.

What is a cookie, and why are they being used on this website?

A cookie is a small piece of information stored by your browser (for instance, Internet Explorer or Firefox) on your computer. It may contain some personal details, the contents of your shopping basket, and date and time information in an encrypted format, which can be recalled when you return to the House of Class website to speed up your identification and ordering and delivery processes. To prevent the website from accessing this information, simply disable your cookies in your browser options.

Will I receive unsolicited e-mails and marketing information?

No. We will only contact you with news of House of Class special offers and promotions if you have subscribed to any of our newsletters.

What happens if I lose my password?

You can either request a new password to be sent to you by clicking on the “Forgot Password” link on the login page or contact us for assistance.

Will you sell my e-mail address or personal details to others?

Never. We are committed to protecting your confidentiality, so your information will not be disclosed to third parties.

Order FAQs

My order has not arrived when I expected it to, what can I do?

Please contact us on info@hofc.co.za and we will investigate. Remember to include your order number.

How do I cancel an order?

What happens if items are missing from the delivery but listed on the invoice?

This should not happen. You delivery invoice should reflect exactly what has been delivered. Please contact us and we will rectify this.

Will you have stock of the items that I have ordered?

We do our best to make sure that we have stock on hand of everything offered in our online shop. We update the website daily and monitor stock of products closely. However, despite our best efforts, sometimes we will not be able to deliver certain items you have ordered. When you check out, you will be able to specify whether you’d like to be contacted in these instances.

How do I know what price I will pay?

The individual price of each item purchased online is calculated with any promotional discounts applied when you check out. The price you see online is the price that you will be charged when your order is fulfilled.

Can I order online if I do not live in South Africa?

You can place an order from anywhere, but we only deliver to selected addresses within South Africa and Mozambique at this stage.

How do I know if my order has been successfully placed or not?

When your order has been successfully received by our system, you’ll see a confirmation page. A confirmation e-mail will also be sent to the e-mail address you specified, giving the details of your order. This confirmation indicates that your order has been received; fulfillment of your order may be impacted by stock availability. If you can’t find this confirmation email, check your spam or junk mail folders. Contact us if you have any queries about your order.

Delivery FAQs

How long will it take for my order to be delivered?

This will depend on the contents of your order and your delivery location.

We aim to deliver all orders within 3 to 7 working days.

How do I know when my order is on its way?

You’ll receive three emails from us when you place an order on our website. First, we’ll confirm that we’ve received your order. Then, we’ll confirm that your order is being processed. When your order is on its way to you, you will receive an SMS with the order number and a link to view your delivery status. Finally, we send you an email to confirm that your order has been delivered.
